Types of portraits:
Master canvas
Retouching and artwork are completed then the MASTER is permanently bonded to the fine masonite canvas through a special process so each individual thread becomes visible. The next step is mounting the portrait, and the final finishing include subtle brush strokes to enhance the beautiful tones and complexion. Finally the canvas is sealed with several coatings of clear lacquer to accentuate its depth and color saturation. Final touches also include a signature. When finished, this portrait has the look and feel of an old master oil painting. Glass covering is not recommended. This achieves an unparallel elegance in any wall portrait.
Classic Photo
Simple in style, this attractive portrait is carefully hand finished and mounted on masonite. Final finishing with signature and sprayed coats of protective lacquer preserve this quality photo. Glass covering is not recommended. The Classic includes retouching
Traditional Photo
A handsome, altogether pleasing portrait finish. No retouching. Ready for framing.
Specialty items
The master canvas, the class and traditional photos are spectacular but for those who do not display wall art, Photos by Becky has a wide array of specialty items to show off your schnauzer's schnoz. Handbags and purses with micro fiber lining are versatile for the busy woman. Afghan throws will brighten any room. The traditional coffee mugs, ergonomic mouse pads and custom made note cards will sport your spaniel with everyone. Becky's favorite: Custom made jewelry. Rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants,.....the list goes on. And for the men, key chains and money clips! Stop in or give us a shout!
Retouching
Please remember that previews are not retouched. When choosing Master Canvas or The Classic portrait, lines and facial blemishes can be softened on the poses that you choose and your finished portraits can be fully retouched. Shadows and highlights are necessary to a good portrait and should not be altered.
Special Retouching
When ordering the Master Canvas or the Classic, special retouching may be done. This includes special touchups to the print such as fixing a broken tooth or removing strands of out of place hair. This will be done at a time charge of $35 per hour. Upon placing your order, you must specify the degree of retouching desired. Please ask for a quote.
Sitting fees
Portraiture entails two separate but related services. The sitting and printing of previews is the first service; second, the finished portraits. For each service there is a choice, and a separate charge in keeping with your needs and desires.
This session fee covers the cost of the sitting. It is separate from the cost of the portraits and is payable at the time of the session.
